Jenny Yang, a Cornell and NYU Law graduate who served as EEOC Chair during the Obama Administration, has been selected as the new OFCCP Director. While at the EEOC, Yang focused on pay equity, championing the EEO-1 Component 2 pay reporting requirement, as well as sexual orientation and gender identity rights. Though no formal announcement has been made by the OFCCP yet, Yang is listed as the Director on the OFCCP website. Biden selected Yang just days into his presidency, compared to the Trump Administration that took nearly a year to appoint its first OFCCP Director, signifying the importance the Biden Administration is placing on affirmative action.
