The new directive instructs OFCCP staff to take into account recent court decisions and White House Executive Orders that protect religious freedom. With this directive, they are stressing the Administration’s commitment to strong protections for religious freedom and making sure faith-based organizations and companies can compete equally for federal grants, contracts, etc. The directive also reiterates that these organizations and companies have rights and should not be in fear of discrimination or retaliation by the Federal Government.
