Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act requires federal contractors and subcontractors to take affirmative action to recruit, hire, promote, and retain individuals with a disability (IWD). The regulations also require that contractors invite their employees to self-identify as having a disability every five years, using the prescribed language. Because these new regulations were put into effect about five years ago, many companies have only surveyed their workforce once.  If it has been five years since your company has been subject to these regulations, please survey your workforce with the Self-Identification Form. While employees are not required to disclose their disability status, contractors are required to invite employees to self-identify. Please let us know if you have any questions about this survey.
