The Department of Labor released a notice to all contractors on September 3, 2021 informing them that Affirmative Action Programs (AAPs) that start on or after January 1, 2022 will be required by the OFCCP to utilize the new 2014-2018 EEO Tabulation (EEO Tab) to develop their AAPs.  The 2014-2018 EEO Tab will replace the 2006-2010 EEO Tab that the OFCCP and contractors currently use to determine external availability of qualified minorities and women and establish benchmarks. The new census data has updated demographic data, but will have fewer occupation codes, going from 489 to 238 codes, and some suppressed census geographic areas. Many occupation codes have been combined and will be more general which could affect placement rate goals.  Your Maly consultant will begin using the new occupation codes and census data starting in January and will answer any further questions or concerns about the new data set.
