On April 17th, 2023, the OFCCP released the EEO-1 data of nearly 20,000 federal contractors. As we previously reported, in August 2022, the OFCCP notified federal contractors of a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request for federal contractors’ EEO-1 reports.  The request was for consolidated Type 2 (company-wide) EEO-1 data from years 2016-2020 for all federal contractors. Contractors were given the opportunity to object to having their EEO-1 reports released.

The OFCCP released the EEO-1s in two sets, as explained on their FOIA Library page. The first being those 21 contractors that affirmatively consented to OFCCP’s release of their EEO-1 data. The second set was those 19,289 entities that either did not file an objection with the OFCCP (19,277 contractors) or voluntarily confirmed they had no objection. The OFCCP has not yet decided on all those federal contractors who objected and will likely take time processing the filed objections.
