Corporate Scheduling Announcement Letter (CSAL) — The OFCCP mailed out 1,000 CSALs letters to contractor establishments on February 1, 2018.  CSALs notify establishments that they have been selected for a compliance evaluation.  No establishment with a closed audit in the last five years was placed on the scheduling list.  Please remember that companies who do not receive a CSAL might still be audited.  Please be on the watch for the CSALs in your organization and notify your Maly Consultant if you receive one.

EEO-1 Report Opened — The EEO-1 report is now open and is due by March 31, 2018.  The report is based on employee data between October 1 and December 31, 2017.  Please contact us if you would like assistance in completing this report.

Compliance Assistance Town Halls — The OFCCP held three town hall meetings in 2017 in different parts of the country.  The goal was to enhance communication with the contractor community and brainstorm how to improve the agency’s compliance assistance efforts.  The OFCCP’s executive summary states that the three most popular topics were training, communication, and trust.  Many contractors asked for more training from the OFCCP in order to assistance their companies with OFCCP compliance.  In order to improve communication, some contractors suggested updating the resources on the OFCCP website.  Trust was an issue because some contractors described negative experiences during audits.  The OFCCP is continuing to review the feedback from the town hall meetings and will release a Plan of Action.

OFCCP Outreach — The OFCCP’s new director, Ondray Harris, recently met with civil rights groups and employer groups to introduce himself and to discuss topics related to affirmative action.  This is part of a larger strategy to work with the contractor community to increase communication and trust.
