On August 7th, the OFCCP and Veteran’s Employment and Training Service (VETS) hosted a Town Hall aiming to expand outreach to the veteran community and discuss compliance matters specifically relating to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Act (VEVRAA) and Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA). During the Town Hall, OFCCP Director Craig Leen shared that 500 scheduling letters for VEVRAA Focused Reviews would be going out on Veteran’s Day. He expressed that the goal of these reviews will be to gather information to understand best practices in veteran employment, and that the agency will publish resources to assist contractors with these focused reviews.
